DECKHAND, JUNIOR ENGINEER. SANTIAGO PADILLA

Santiago Padilla - Deckhand & Junior Engineer
Background: Santiago joined the crew just before Christmas in 2025, making him part of the team for a year now. At only 23 years old, he’s already a seasoned hand, having completed an engineering course and stepping into the world of yacht engineering as a budding professional.
Experience: In just 12 months, Santiago has sailed an impressive 26,000 miles—a journey spanning from Turkey across the Aegean and Mediterranean, then across the Atlantic, through the Caribbean, and onward into the Pacific. He’s visited a wide range of destinations, from the Greek islands and central Mediterranean hotspots like Corsica and Sardinia to the Caribbean isles, Panama, the Galapagos, French Polynesia, Fiji, and now New Zealand. It’s a mileage some crew never achieve in a lifetime, and he’s done it all in a year.
Personality & Skills: Santiago is not just a hardworking deckhand and a budding engineer. He’s also a natural with guests, keeping the yacht in top shape and making everyone feel welcome. He’s into fishing and watersports and has a real talent for drone videography. Together with Alea, he creates memorable media content for guests, capturing the highlights of each charter.
Personal Note: As the partner of Captain Warren’s daughter Aleya, Santiago is not just a crew member but part of the family, and he’s become an invaluable asset to the team.
